FAQ: How to Use the GPA Calculator?
1. What is GPA?
GPA (Grade Point Average) is the average of your grades, measured on a 4.0 scale in US schools and universities.
2. How to use this calculator?
- List your subjects (or leave as Subject 1, 2, etc).
- Select the letter grade for each subject (A, A-, B+, ... F).
- Add credit hours for each subject if needed (or keep as 1 for unweighted GPA).
- Click Calculate GPA. You will see your GPA below.
3. Is this for high school or college?
Works for both! (Standard 4.0 scale: A=4.0, B=3.0, C=2.0, D=1.0, F=0.0, plus/minus supported.)
4. Are honors/AP weighting or international scales supported?
This tool only uses the standard US 4.0 scale.
5. Is my data saved?
No, all calculations are performed in your browser and nothing is stored or transmitted.
